US: 'Koreans with Cuba'

Thứ Năm, 18 tháng 12, 2014

The White House said yesterday that the US has no intention of seeking to establish diplomatic relations with North Korea as with Cuba by Pyongyang's nuclear programs and missiles.

"Our concerns about North Korea other than Cuba," the news agencyYonhap quoted Josh Earnest, White House spokesman, said. "We do not have to worry about Cuba is developing nuclear weapons testing range missile technology."
By Earnest, Washington decided to try a new approach to Cuba to improve the "human rights situation" here by isolating the previous strategy had failed.
US President Barack Obama announced Sunday 17/12 boot process to normalize relations with Cuba after more than 50 years of freezing. Many people think that Washington will likely do the same thing with Pyongyang. However, the White House quickly rejected this prediction.
"We are concerned about North Korea's behavior, be sure to include human rights and other issues," Earnest said. "These include the nuclear program of North Korea, the threat notification that Pyongyang sent to Seoul, one of the close allies of Washington."
Earnest said the US ever tried to establish relations with North Korea in the past, easing some sanctions in exchange for the commitment to denuclearization of North Korea. However, this effort soon vanish by the Korean decision to withdraw their commitments.
